Our Beliefs

Responsibly Rural's platform stands on five core beliefs, each making Greenvale Township a place where neighbors can thrive together, regardless of their background or occupation. We support candidates and township officials who also share these beliefs.

Green Farm

Agricultural Preservation

Responsibly Rural recognizes Greenvale Township as a community with deep roots in agriculture. Knowing that many in our township live and work alongside our farmers in non-ag businesses that are also important and historically recognized, Responsibly Rural believes these relationships between ag and existing non-ag businesses can and should continue meaningfully. Responsibly Rural believes in Greenvale's ordinances, which are designed to protect our ag community from no further growth in non-ag business.
Road Roller

Purposeful Progress

Purposeful Progress means that as changes are necessary, our township is able to recognize and hear the voices of all sides and work toward a solution that brings us together to move the community forward. We support candidates and current township representatives who listen before, during, and after changes are recommended and do what is best with honesty and integrity for our primarily rural community.

Helping Hands

Respectful Treatment

Strong community leaders seek solutions where everyone benefits!

Everyone in our township deserves respect, even if they disagree on an issue. Responsibly Rural supports candidates and township officials who listen to understand, who do not speak over or ignore their citizens' ideas or concerns, who work toward compromise, and who seek to represent all interests in our community be they existing small business owners, farmers, homesteaders, or families who work outside our neighborhood. Ethics, honor, and respectful treatment go hand-in-hand.

Dollar Bills

Responsible Taxpayer-Dollar Spending

Every dollar counts in our rural community, and Responsibly Rural believes each dollar should be spent to build the whole community, should be responsibly accounted for, and should be openly communicated to the public. Unnecessary expenditures on short-sited or self-serving initiatives are not supported by Responsibly Rural.

Library

Access to Information

Productive government work and the information that supports it should be easily accessible and responsibly kept. Responsibly Rural believes that this starts with candidates and township officials who are willing to answer difficult questions when necessary. Responsibly Rural also supports candidates and currently serving officials who are responsive to information requests and work to provide true openness in the work of OUR local government.
