Joy Royle

Joy Royle was recently elected Township Supervisor. Her ties to the township go beyond her 10 years as a resident. She, and her husband Adam, along with their children Davis, Allen, and Henry purchased Joy’s grandparents’ farm. Their family farm has been in continuous agricultural operation since 1857. Together Joy and her family continue to operate the farm running 300 acres. Joy and Adam also own and operate a small trucking company.

Joy has been a Certified Ophthalmic Technician and medical photographer for 18 years in both private practice and also the federal sector. She has held multiple leadership roles, overseeing large groups of medical professionals. Joy has served as President of a local youth hockey board.

Joy currently works for the Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN23 as a Supervisor providing training and education of 23 Eye Care sites located throughout the Midwest. She also manages and is the primary educator for the first in the Nation Eye Care Simulation Lab teaching ophthalmic diagnostic testing.

She plans to provide open and accountable communication, focusing on the essential needs of the citizens. She will advocate for ag preservation, and purposeful progress in efforts to keep our township, “Responsibly Rural.”
