Tim & Chrisy McNearney endorse Responsibly Rural candidates

Updated: May 8, 2025

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Joy Royle, Craig Host, and Mark Legvold for their dedicated efforts, passion, and commitment to our township concerning the Carr's Tree Service incident. It remains both perplexing and, more significantly, alarming that Carr's nearly established operations within our township. We are also thankful to Senator Bill Lieske for his assistance in halting this matter.

The fact that this situation progressed as far as it did indicate a significant oversight in our township’s supervision. It is unclear why there was support for this initiative, which was evidently not in the best interests of our community. It seems that there was a lack of oversight and a failure to listen to the concerns of our township's citizens. We articulated our concerns regarding the environmental impact and safety issues in a clear, concise, and direct manner.

Can one imagine a compost site with burning operations in proximity to their residence? The hazardous smoke would affect us all, not to mention the increased traffic and the unsightly appearance it would create. We extend our appreciation to all the citizens who signed the petition to oppose this initiative. Let us strive for new leadership that will ensure such an incident as Carr's will not occur again. We wholeheartedly support Joy, Mark, and Craig. Thank you for your dedication and for your presence in this crucial matter.

Also, it's hard to see our funds dwindling, and as a Greenvale residents and taxpayers, it's distressing to witness reckless spending of our township dollars. Legal fees defending against frivolous attacks and the unnecessary Carr’s tree service expense are alarming. Each household bears approx. a $500 cost to balance our books, with a tax increase exceeding 25%. This must change; we need leaders who treat our township funds as their own and prioritize thoughtful spending.
